favorite kpop groups

i've been a kpop fan since middle school (new stans call me a hag) and i've amassed several favorite groups over the years. read on below if you'd like to hear about them!


red velvet

  • red velvet is a 5-member group under sm entertainment
  • the members are irene, seulgi, wendy, joy, and yeri
  • the group's concepts oscillate between the "red" and the "velvet." red concepts are typically more upbeat and experimental, while velvet concepts are often darker and have a more "mature" sound.
  • yeri is my bias

    • loona (artms, loossemble, chuu, yves)

  • loona was a 12-member group under blockberry creative (bbc). we all hate bbc for a plethora of reasons.
  • the members were mistreated and abused by bbc (fuck bbc!!!) but they are all now free of their contracts and have redebuted as new groups & soloists!
  • the members are heejin, hyunjin, haseul, yeojin, vivi, kim lip, jinsoul, choerry, yves, chuu, gowon, hyeju
  • my biases are haseul and hyeju but i truly love them all
  • the loonaverse is a huge reason i got into this group (after loving the music)--there are tons of theory and explanation videos of the group lore that i highly recommend checking out!
